Chorus launches mass market VDSL product as step towards fibre
Chorus has today announced new pricing and specifications for a VDSL-based
broadband product.
VDSL is a broadband technology on the existing copper network that can
provide much faster download and upload speeds than existing ADSL2+
technology.
Following extensive consultation with the industry, Chorus VDSL will be
offered from June 7 2013

Chorus fixed line and broadband connections at 31 March
Chorus has today released its fixed line and broadband connection numbers as
at 31 March 2013.
Total fixed line connections remained largely static over the three month
period since 31 December 2012, with a slight decline of 1,000 lines to a
total of 1,792,000 lines. Total broadband connections increased by 17,000 to
1,093,000.

Chorus extends syndicated bank facility by 12 months
Chorus has today entered into an agreement which, subject to standard
conditions, extends the maturity dates for its existing NZ$1.35 billion
syndicated bank facility by 12 months.
The syndicated bank facility comprises two equal tranches of $675 million,
