Pumpkin Patch Limited has announced that Chrissy Conyngham has informed the
Board of Directors that she has decided not to seek re-election at the Annual
Shareholders Meeting on 22 November 2011 and that she wishes to focus solely
on her executive role with the business.
Chrissy Conyngham commented "We are currently working on a number of exciting
new opportunities across our international markets and I believe it is best
that I am 100% focused on my executive role helping the business make the
most of those opportunities. While I have enjoyed contributing at Board level
the commitment of being a director has been considerable. The time is right
for me to focus my efforts towards the design and branding areas of the
business which are key to our long term success. This decision will give me
more time to work with Neil and the wider executive team developing and
executing strategies that will take us into the future".
Jane Freeman, Pumpkin Patch''s Chairperson, said "Chrissy has been a valuable
member of the Board since we listed in 2004 and we thank her for the
contribution she has made over that time. While she will leave a gap at the
board table we fully support her decision to focus on her executive role
which is a very important part of the overall Pumpkin Patch model."
Freeman added "We will soon be commencing a review of the Board structure.
This will not only fill the gap left by Chrissy but will more widely consider
the skills and experience required at Board level to best support the
business in maximising its longer term opportunities".
As a result of the above announcement the Board of Directors has withdrawn
the resolution relating to Chrissy Conyngham''s re-election from the Notice of
Meeting for the Annual Shareholders Meeting to be held on 22 November 2011.
