Eco Subscription Box aims to make sustainable living easy

The Eco Collective is a new green subscription box aimed and making it easier for busy individuals and families to make their homes and lives more sustainable and less wasteful.

Delivering a box of quality, eco-friendly products, The Eco Collective will provide a new selection of items monthly with each box targeting a particular lifestyle area.

Waitakere Ranges local mums Cindy Carleton and Susi Lay are behind the initiative after finding the time and effort required to make sustainable changes could be expensive and research intensive.

“We wanted to create a service to help those wanting to make a change in their life but have found it overwhelming when presented with all the options. We’re all busy so The Eco Collective is a way of recognising that and helping make small but consistent steps,” says Susi.

Customers will have the option of purchasing the monthly boxes as a one-off or subscribing to a monthly payment option, aimed at making the boxes much more cost effective.

“To purchase everything at once would be cost prohibitive for many. By spreading out the payments and delivering directly, we hope to make sustainability much more achievable for the average household,” adds Cindy.

The first box available until 25 November is The Eco Starter and provides premium items including a Joco Coffee Cup, Honeywrap Food Wraps and a book to start customers off on their low waste journey entitled How to Give Up Plastic.

December’s box will be themed around summer picnics and eating outdoors and future offerings will include pantry, bathroom, laundry, office and seasonal themes. Eventually The Eco Collective also aims to offer refills for particular items and resales of the most popular boxes.
