Cambridge Trust Company Announces Hiring of Veteran Private Banker Marc Gearin

Bank Continues to Add Expertise and Experience to Private Banking Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--Cambridge Bancorp (NASDAQ: CATC) and its subsidiary, Cambridge Trust Company, today announced the appointment of Marc Gearin as Senior Vice President – Private Banking with responsibility for acquiring and developing new high net worth client relationships, both personal and commercial. The appointment is part of Cambridge Trust’s continuing initiative to make strategic hires in support of its expanded banking and wealth management offering.

During the past two years, Cambridge Trust has been bolstering its Private Banking business not only by drawing upon its existing capabilities and personnel, but also by adding to its product and service capabilities and hiring veteran bankers from Boston and elsewhere to meet the growing wealth management needs of high net worth individuals, families and business owners.

Gearin joins Cambridge Trust from Bank of New York Mellon Wealth Management’s Boston office, where he had served as a Vice President-Private Banking since 2009 with responsibility for developing customized lending solutions for ultra-high net worth clients. Previously, he served as a Vice President in Wells Fargo’s Private Mortgage Banking unit, where he worked closely in coordinating lending activities with the bank’s Wealth Management Group.

Earlier in his career, Gearin held senior roles with GuardHill Financial Inc. and Boston Private Bank and Trust Company. He began his career with Boston Five Cents Savings Bank.

Gearin holds a B.A. degree in economics from Connecticut College and an MBA degree from Suffolk University in Boston. He is a member of the Longwood Cricket Club and the Boston College Club.
