Adds earnings details, company comments, analysts' comments and closing share price
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 20) -- Petronas Chemicals Group, the petrochemical arm of Malaysia's national oil-and-gas company Petronas, said Tuesday its net profit rose 2.3% in the fourth quarter from a year earlier thanks to higher volume and prices.
Net profit for the three months ended Dec. 31 1.01 billion ringgit ($259.58 million) compared with 987.00 million ringgit over the same period last year, Petronas Chemicals said in an exchange filing. Quarterly revenue rose 20% year-on-year to 4.74 billion ringgit from 3.95 billion ringgit.
