Iceland’s new prime minister has added her voice to a chorus of key policy makers that want to put an end to the krona’s wild swings.

The previous government set up a panel tasked with looking at the country’s future currency regime. Its three economists are exploring options that range from a free-floating system, a fixed exchange rate or pegging the krona to another currency. They had been expected to complete their work by the end of 2017 but are now scheduled to report back in the spring.
