"The plant will not produce a single kilogram of waste, everything will be recycled and reused. We will also install electrical charging stations for vehicles for internal use," the newspaper quoted the director of Tehnix, Djuro Horvat, as saying.
He noted that Tehnix has signed a long-term deal with Mercedes-Benz for cooperation in the production of vehicles for municipal waste disposal.
Tehnix was recently awarded a 10 million kuna EU grant for the development of a composting plant for biodegradable municipal waste.
The Croatian company currently employs 400 people and is working on projects for Egypt, Ukraine, Russia, Germany and Slovenia.
