Man and woman seriously injured after being attacked in East Lothian home

A 34-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were found by cops called out to Main Street in Longniddry last night

A MAN and a woman have been seriously injured after being attacked in a East Lothian home.

A 34-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were found by cops called out to Main Street in Longniddry last night.

Cops were called out to the incident at around 9.15pm last night.

A man and a woman were found seriously injured, but cops confirmed they were not looking anyone else regarding the attack.

Part of Main street remains closed after emergency services were called out to the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called out to an address in Longniddry at around 9.15pm last night.

"A 34-year-old man and 51-year-old woman were found seriously injured.

"Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident."
