MYSTERIOUS DEATH

Who was Max Spiers? Conspiracy theorist and UFO hunter – all you need to know

The solicitor for Mr Spiers’s Mum, Adam Taylor, said that members of Polish emergency services had a “number of discrepancies” in their accounts.

THE MOTHER of a conspiracy theorist found dead believes his investigations into UFOs and government cover-ups may have had something to do with his death.

Vanessa Bates, who is the mother of Max Spiers, received a text message from her son days before he died which said 'If anything happens to me, investigate'  - and then he died after throwing up two litres of black liquid.

It was revealed that Max died on the sofa of science fiction writer of Monika Duval, who was present when he died.

It is unclear what the relationship was between the two of them, and Duval is now being questioned by police.

But what do we know about the UFO hunter and conspiracy theorist?

Here's what we know...

Who was Max Spires?

The 39-year-old was originally from Canterbury and went to school with Orlando Bloom.

As well as having a brother, Josh, and a sister, Becky, Max also had two sons.

He had lived in America for a few years but moved back to Canterbury recently to live with his mum.

Max died in Poland on July 16 where he was due to speak at a conference.

The world-renowned conspiracy theorist was said to have been probing into the lives of well-known figures in politics, business and entertainment.

His body was found on a sofa and it was ruled by Polish authorities that he died from natural causes despite no post-mortem examination being carried out.

An inquest at Canterbury Coroners opened in December after his body was repatriated. A post-mortem at Margate QEQM Hospital, Kent, was unable to determine how he died.

In a statement, coroner’s investigations officer Caroline O’Donnell said: "When they returned, Mr Spiers became ill with a high temperature and was weak.

"The following day, Mr Spiers vomited two litres of black fluid.

"The friend called a doctor who attempted resuscitation before pronouncing him dead."

Max had set up a blog called 'Where Truth Meets Heart' where he posted his thoughts and ideas.

Since his death, family and friends have continued to post quotes from Max about what he believed in as well as tributes.

His sister Becky has also posted pictures and memories of her brother which includes his interest in wrestling as a child and the love he had for his siblings when they were growing up.

What did he believe in?

Max made a career out of investigating UFO sightings and alleged cover-ups.

More recently, he was said to be probing into the lives of well-known figures in politics, business and entertainment.

A quote from Max on his blog says: "I’m very excited to begin this journey and I will be blogging my journey and findings in a way that I’ve never done before.  It’s time to disintegrate the last vestiges of the thinning veil for good and I hope this blog will be a tool to do so.

"We can’t be stopped now and I’m going to go into considerably more detail than I ever would or could on FaceBook."

He also said: "My personal belief is that everything that is going on ‘outside’ of myself is an immaculate reflection of what is going on ‘inside’ of myself.

"This has allowed me to find answers to questions in the immediate world around me.

"The entertainment industry is too full of ego traps and smoke and mirrors to give me any direct information."

Max was also a believer in the extra terrestrial.

He said: "We are receiving all kinds of help from masters, ETs and extra dimensional type angelic beings, and learning very quickly to go inward. The more we are able to go in and listen to that still quiet voice within us, the more we will be in tune with the changes that are occurring around us, and ultimately free us from this ultimate form of control. "

What theories about his death are out there?

Blogger Project Camelot has claimed Max survived  a secret government ‘super soldier’ programme and suspect he was murdered.

The blog says: "The entire circumstances are suspicious and I urge everyone to encourage the release the details about what really happened to the public and call for an autopsy.

Expolotics blog said: "I have never met Max, I have met other courageous whistleblowers, one man who was connected with the elite rulers, he told me the ultimate compliment from the Illuminati is when you are killed, it shows you are doing good work and are a great threat to them and their agenda."

While Scott C Waring of UFP Sightings Daily, told The Metro: "This is really strange. It does seem that UFO researchers are now being targeted, probably to slow the rate of information being leaked to the public."

It also appears Vanessa buys into the theories as well.

She said: "Max was a very fit man who was in good health and yet he apparently just died suddenly on a sofa.

"All I have is a death certificate from the Polish authorities that it was from natural causes, but no post-mortem was done so how can they tell that?

"They are also refusing to release any paperwork about it to me because, absurdly, I don't have his written permission."

Max's girlfriend, Sarah Evans, claimed he had told just before his death that he was the prisoner of people who wanted to conduct "satanic rituals to 'de-programme' him."

She told the Sun: “He said they had given him something that had put him in a coma for two days.”

In August 2018 it was revealed that officers who investigated his death in Poland were facing disciplinary action.

His mother's solicitor also claimed that his laptop had been wiped.

An inquest into his death will now take place in January 2019.

The solicitor for Mr Spiers’s Mum, Adam Taylor, said that members of Polish emergency services had a “number of discrepancies” in their accounts.

Mr Taylor said that “[His] laptop was wiped and, of course, it was not empty at the time of Max’s death.

“The way in which they were returned and what was done to them is clearly one of the big mysteries. ‘The family has no knowledge whatsoever of what the results of that analysis were.
