DOVER Dennis Trimmer Jr., president of Solid Rock Photos in Dover recently completed training at two world class studio photography training events.

Trimmer first attended SYNC (Senior Youth National Conference) Sports, a training event for team and individual sports photographers was held June 12-14 in Harrisburg (Manheim) Pa., at the United States' largest indoor sports complex — Spooky Nook. Hands-on individual and small-group training dovetailed with classroom and larger group work that focused on teams, school athletic departments and community based youth recreational leagues.

From June 21-23, Trimmer was a part of Schools 101, with emphasis on school photo day programs. This event was held in Kansas City, Mo. at H+H Color Lab's World Headquarters. H+H is known throughout the industry as a leader in volume and school portrait lab work. The three-day event was centered on all aspects of school portrait day studio work from securing contracts, through photographing, processing and delivery.

The education comes as Solid Rock Photos continues to grow its brand in order to best serve the community with a wider variety of options for volume and school type photography. Solid Rock Photos has also made considerable investments in equipment and new event specific personnel to deal with this rapidly growing area of its business.

Solid Rock Photos has received national recognition. The boutique has been named Favorite Photographer in The Times-Reporter Readers' Poll from 2011 to 2015, and was named 2014 Small Business of the Year by the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce.
