Two youths charged following West Auckland stabbing

Waitakere Police have charged a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, following a stabbing in west Auckland late on Friday night.

The girl has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to rob, and will be the subject of a youth court hearing later today.

The victim is alleged to have been stabbed in the chest as he sat in a car with the girl, who he'd met on social media dating app, reportedly Tinder.

He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 14-year-old boy has also been charged with being a party to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to rob.

He is expected to appear in the Waitakere District Court, as a youth hearing, tomorrow.

The pair are also additionally charged with aggravated robbery, following a separate incident that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning at a petrol station in Massey.
