SEABROOK — A suspected kidnapper is now on supervised release as he waits for his June trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a Hampton hotel.

Donte Hargrove, 23 of Sacramento, Calif., was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail on April 27, permitted to move to a facility in Nashua, according to court documents.

Hargrove was previously held in Rockingham County House of Corrections in Brentwood lieu of a $50,000 cash-only bail.

Hargrove was arrested by Seabrook police on a charge of kidnapping in November.

He was later indicted on seven charges of felonious sexual assault and one charge of kidnapping.

According to court documents, Hargrove allegedly paid a taxi cab to pick up the victim and bring her to the hotel, where she stayed for three days. He sexually assaulted the girl during that time, police allege.

Hargrove’s trial is scheduled to start June 22.

Hargrove’s public defender, James J. Godbout, requested his client be “removed from incarceration” on April 15, the court documents stated.

As part of his release, Hargrove must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet and is required to call every day at 6 p.m.

Hargrove has a 6 p.m. curfew that stays in effect until 6 a.m. the next morning.

Hargrove is not permitted to have any contact with children under 18 years of age.

He also may not have contact with the Chase Home in Portsmouth, Seabrook or Portsmouth middle schools or a specified apartment in Seabrook, according to court documents.

Hargrove must also maintain gainful employment and if he drinks alcohol or takes any non-prescribed drug, he will be put under arrest, court documents state.
