FUN seekers will have the chance to party until the early hours thanks to a new East Oxford bash.
Pub The Cape of Good Hope, in Cowley Road, will host new event Molly for the city’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
It comes after a group of residents, including 32-year-old Richard Howlett, launched a crowdfunding campaign to hold the new shindig.
Wolvercote Farmers’ Market booking coordinator Mr Howlett said: “We wanted to create a sense of community. We wanted this to be a night that is somewhere that all parts of the LGBT community in Oxford feel welcome.
“It’s important to have a separate space where we can be with people who have a shared identity and people can meet one another.”
People are invited to join the launch night this Saturday at 8pm. A DJ will keep the tunes spinning through the night, with a live set from comedian Debs Gatenby also planned. Advance tickets are £5 or £7 on the door.
