Fundraisers

BINGO FUNDRAISER will be Sat., March 7, 5-9 p.m., at the Fargher Lake Grange, 37813 NW Wiehl Rd., La Center. Cost is 50 cents per card per game. Family, fun and tacos. Cost is $5 for two tacos, one glass of punch and one ice cream dessert. Prizes and fun. All proceeds will go to Kaydyn Gurrola, a 6-year-old girl who has Rett Syndrome. Fundraiser will help with her medical expenses.

Starting one ancestor at a time is often the best way to get going with writing your family history. Learn how to craft compelling ancestor profiles from start to finish and how to effectively weave them into a larger narrative in this free Legacy Family Tree webinar. DETOXIFY YOUR HOME: Using Natural Products and Feng Shui. This is a hands-on, interactive class in which students will discuss the toxicities of several common household cleaners and how to make natural and cost-effective alternatives. They will also discuss how doing an energy cleanse of your home, decluttering and rearranging will increase your prosperity, happiness and luck. Each participant will make and take home four natural cleaners. Class is March 14 from 1-4 p.m. at Battle Ground Healing Arts. Cost is $30 plus $12 materials fee. BIKINI BOOTCAMP with Karen King at BOLD Training will be held for two sessions – session 1 March 2-April 25 and session 2 April 27-June 20. This eight-week program includes eight workout opportunities per week to be held at BOLD Training and outdoors; bootcamp style workouts, strength training, sprint interval training, running and more; weekly weigh ins for accountability and results; bikini body nutrition plan; meal prep workshop; communication within the group using a Facebook closed group page and free entry into Blooms and Brews Marathon four-person relay with group members. MUSIC TOGETHER: An internationally loved, research-based music and movement program for young children, birth to 5, and their parent(s) or caregivers. Each 45 minute class is designed to immerse the children in a variety of musical styles and tonalities, rhythms and fun movement activities, including instrument play-along jam sessions. AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT: One Teams’ GutterBall program is the safer, more-fun reinvention of the old game of dodgeball.
