TOKYO: Tokyo stocks have closed 0.28 per cent higher after a day of shaking trade as financiers await the result of the European Central Bank’s economic policy meeting.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Thursday rose 48.54 points to end at 17,329.02, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares was flat, edging down 0.08 per cent, or 1.18 points, to 1,389.43.
