January 12, 11:30 a..m-1:30 p.m., Brighton Chamber of Commerce annual meeting, at the Gables at Brighton (2001 Clinton Avenue South, Rochester 14618), "Downtown Rising," with keynote presentation by Heidi N. Zimmer-Meyer, president, Rochester Downtown Development Corporation. After decades of decline, Rochester's downtown has turned the corner. Significant investment, thousands of new residents and major infrastructure projects are behind this renaissance – and the pace of downtown development is accelerating. Come hear this remarkable story of reinvention, and see the highlights of what is dramatically changing our center city.
