Following last week's teaser, Ford has fully revealed the all-new Everest which is programmed to go on sale next year.

The 2015 Everest is based on the Ford Ranger from where it inherits the styling but with a more premium look both inside and out. Noticeable features include LED daytime running lights, aluminum front & rear underbody protection and a large chrome hexagonal front grille. It benefits from a generous 225mm ground clearance and 800mm water-wading capability while the towing capacity stands at 3,000 kg. Ford says it has a best-in-class 750 kg cargo payload (up to 100 kg roof payload) and a 29-degree approach angle and 25-degree departure angle.

The seven seater's cabin boasts more than 30 stowage spaces providing a combined 48 liters and by folding down the second and third rows you get 2,010 liters of cargo capacity. It comes equipped with the SYNC2 infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen display, two USB ports, 240-volt socket for the second row, 12-volt outlets in the front & second rows and trunk.

The 2015 Ford Everest packs a wide array of safety and assistance systems like Hill Start Assist, Hill Ascent & Descent & Curve Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Aid, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, Roll Stability Control and ESP.

In terms of engines, the SUV will be offered with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter EcoBoost, along with a four-cylinder 2.2-liter Duratorq TDCi and a beefier five-cylinder 3.2-liter Duratorq TDCi which has an upgraded exhaust gas recirculation system for increased efficiency. Depending on engine selection, Ford is offering the 2015 Everest with six-speed automatic or manual transmissions.

Sales of the overhauled Everest are set to kick off sometime next year in China, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa and markets across the ASEAN region.
