Primmer attorney Paul Phillips was a speaker at this year's Telephone Association of New England annual convention last week at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine. Phillips reviewed issues affecting utility consumers in Vermont and New Hampshire as part of the consumer affairs regulatory roundtable.

Jvillage Network, a Burlington-based provider of synagogue websites and online membership solutions, has hired Geoffrey Pizzutillo as lead Web designer and developer. Pizzutillo previously worked as the National Gardening Association's first in-house designer and later, creative director.

Union Bank has hired Chandra Pollard as senior mortgage loan originator for residential lending in Washington and Lamoille counties. Pollard will work out of the Stowe branch, serving customers in the Stowe, Waterbury, Mad River, Montpelier and Barre areas.

James Murdoch of Murdoch Hughes & Twarog in Burlington has been selected for inclusion in the 21st edition of The Best Lawyers in America for his work in the practice areas of criminal defense and family law.

Shane McCormack of Burak Anderson & Melloni, PLC in Burlington has been selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as a 2014 "Rising Star" in the field of securities and corporate finance. The law firm also announced it has hired Mary Bullis as an associate attorney. Bullis previously worked as an assistant district attorney in the District Attorney's Office in Lewiston, Maine. and as an assistant public defender in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew in Burlington announced that eight attorneys have been selected for inclusion on the 2014 New England Super Lawyers list and two attorneys have been selected for the 2014 New England Rising Stars list. Ritchie Berger, W. Scott Fewell, and Karen McAndrew were selected for business litigation. Jeffrey Nolan was selected for employment and labor law. Mark Langan was selected for estate planning and probate. Linda Cohen was selected for health care law. Molly Langan and Austin Hart were selected for real estate law. David Gurtman and Andy MacIlwaine were selected for the Rising Stars list in the practice areas of business/corporate law and construction litigation respectively.

Leslie Ferrer has been hired as the clinical program director at Spectrum Youth & Family Services.

KSV has promoted Cavan Chasan to executive connections director. In his new role, Chasan is charged with enhancing the measurement portfolio and overseeing the Connections group and its engagement with the agency. Under his guidance, the Connections group received The (Boston) Ad Club's Media Maven award for Sugarbush Resort for best use of social media to drive sales.

Primmer announced six of its attorneys were named to the 2015 Vermont Super Lawyers list and five were named as Rising Stars. The six named to the Super Lawyers list are Doreen Connor, appellate practice; Anne Cramer, health care law; Gregory Clayton, commercial litigation; Jon Eggleston, tax law and trusts and estates; Gary Franklin, commercial litigation; and Douglas Wolinsky, bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights. The five attorneys to be named Rising Stars are: Jennifer Turco Beaudet, business litigation; Alexandra Clauss, employment and labor; Alexandra Edelman, business litigation; Eli Emerson, energy and resources; and Adam Mordecai, personal injury defense.
