MANCHESTER — A free family event, “Night of One Hundred Pumpkins,” is to be held in the Nathan Hale Building, 160 Spruce St., on Friday from 5-8 p.m.

Children may participate in activities and crafts throughout the evening, including cupcake designing, pumpkin decorating, mask making and lighting of Halloween lanterns. A seasonally-themed kids’ movie will be shown at about 7 p.m. A limited supply of free goodie bags and snacks for the movie will be given out, organizers said.

The event is made possible through a partnership between the town office of neighborhoods and families, the youth service bureau, the parks and recreation department and LifeSong Church of Manchester.
