Welcome to Guardian Angel Security

A New Service.... A New Standard ... Welcome to Guardian Angel Security

On Tue 16th September Guardian Angel had their launch party at Sky City in Auckland.

Guardian Angel Security specialises in the protection of mobile and isolated staff. Having spent 7 years working with GPS tracking and monitoring of lone workers, Petra Håkansson founded Guardian Angel to address what she believes are real failings in the field.

With the advanced technology available today, there is usually a solution that will mitigate most risk environments. The key is thorough consultation from beginning of the project right throughout the tenure of the use of the product. Explains Petra; “complacency is the enemy. I’ve seen it time and again. The processes need to be established and adhered to, the staff socialisation is imperative for buy in, the monitoring station needs to be audited, the escalation instructions need to be kept up to date and the hardware needs to be regularly tested. The reality in today’s world is that staff are time poor. There isn’t anybody who will oversee these projects once the decisions are made. For a solution to be the right one and for it to continue to deliver as long as it’s in use, somebody needs to champion it and run communication with all key stake holders. That’s what we at Guardian Angel do for you so that you can get on with doing your core role”.

Whether you need technology that works on cellular, radio or satellite networks, Guardian Angel can supply it all having partnered with trusted and proven suppliers. A lot of companies will require a mix of network capable solutions which they previously had to research themselves and deal with a number of suppliers to purchase. Add the suppliers of the networks, software and monitoring and the result is inevitable finger pointing and a fragmented solution that will fail. One knowledgeable provider who will consult throughout the project ensures the correct decisions are made and that the solution keeps delivering safety and peace of mind. We can also come in on a consultancy basis to review existing solutions, making recommendations and putting processes in place.

Changes to the Health and Safety laws in New Zealand next April mean that companies are going to have to take measures to protect staff at risk. Guardian Angel Security is a member of NZ Institute of Safety Management and thus is keeping up with the law changes and how this might affect your company.
