Appointments round-up

A round-up of appointments from across the region. This week includes expansion for Berg, 13 promotions at JLL, and new chairman for Winning Pitch.

Spinningfields developer Allied London has appointed a development manager for Leeds and its Hello project. Tim Gee was previously at DTZ.

IT services firm Axon has taken on an operations manager. Tim Parkinson joins the Macclesfield-based company from Diversity Travel in Manchester.

Berg has expanded its team in Manchester. Edward Saidu joins from Turner Parkinson as a solicitor in the firm's insolvency and restructuring team; Samantha Hulme takes up a role in the dispute resolution team from DWF; and Kirsty Edwards, also previously of DWF, becomes a legal cashier in the credit control department.

Lancashire law firm Birchall Blackburn Law has promoted three of its lawyers to partner. Debora Harrison, Gillian Graveson and Tammy Jones are all based at the firm's Preston office.

Braemer Estates in Hale has added to its team. Diana Turner joins as business development manager from a Manchester property company where she was property integration manager.

Personal injury firm Citadel Law has taken on a litigation and costs specialist. Phil Sherwood, a chartered legal executive, has previously worked for firms such as P R Hanna, Andrew Isaacs, and Coles Miller.

DTZ has added to its northern retail agency team. Will Thomas joins as associate director from Mason Owen and Partners.

Grant Thornton has promoted its head of pensions to equity partner. Manchester-based Fiona Baldwin has been with the firm since 2007.

HRC Law in Manchester has added to its employment department. New recruit Sarah Armstrong, who has 15 years' experience, joins as an associate.

Liverpool solicitors' firm Jackson Canter has unveiled a new head of its conveyancing and property department. Angela Hesketh has joined the team.

JLL has promoted 13 of its surveyors in the North West. In the planning and development team, Adam White and Joanna Gabrilatsou become local directors, Tom McWilliams becomes an associate director and Alexandra Eatough a senior planner.

In the building and construction team, Robert Critchley, Chris Wilman and Matthew Benton have all been promoted to associate director. Lee Watts, valuations, and Robert Hogarth, residential, also become associate directors.

Tom Powell of the out of town retail and leisure team becomes a local director; Alistair Greenhalgh a senior vice president in the hotels and hospitality team; Lucy Davies a senior surveyor in the property and asset management team and Jessica Spears becomes property manager in the retail management business.

Accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth has appointed a new marketing and business development manager. Phillip Ward spent ten years as RSM Tenon, which was recently acquired by Baker Tilly.

MSB Solicitors in Liverpool has recruited a head of strategic development. Michelle Helsby is a former lawyer and business development consultant.

Planning consultancy NJL Consulting has appointed a new chairman. Alan Murch previously ran his own property consultancy and has also worked as a senior director at CBRE.

A new solicitor has joined Manchester law firm Turner Parkinson. Mark Hague has taken up a role in the insolvency and restructuring team.

A former corporate finance partner at Deloitte is one of two new board appointments at vehicle CCTV company Vision Unique Equipment. Kourosh Mehrabani becomes non-executive director at the Manchester-based company while Emma Granger, previously of the Arcadia Group, becomes finance manager.

The former chairman of Walker Morris has been named the chairman of Salford-based coaching company Winning Pitch. Peter Smart spent more than 30 years with the Yorkshire law firm and is also chairman of Halifax science museum Eureka! and non-executive director of Rensburg AIM VCT.
