Animal’s name: Pappy

Breed: Longhaired Chihuahua mix

DOB: Sept. 14, 2008

About the animal: Pappy greets the staff each morning with a happy tail wag and looks for a belly rub before going out to his play area. He enjoys a good romp in the yard and will play “catch me if you can” while running with one of his toys. He loves long walks and is very playful and curious. Pappy really loves attention and would be loyal to his owner. Because he has a hard time sharing his place, he will do better with a submissive dog. Pappy loves everyone and would do best in a home with older children who are respectful of pets. He will thrive in a home with an active, gentle family that enjoys walking and training a dog. He is just waiting for that loving family that will make him a part of its home.

Agency: Living Free is a donor supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal sanctuary that saves, rehabilitates and finds qualified homes for orphaned and abused cats and dogs facing imminent shelter euthanasia.

Location: 54250 Keen Camp Road in Mountain Center, just 15 minutes outside of Idyllwild in the San Jacinto Mountains.
