ETF Inflows/Outflows: HYG, ICOL, USMV, SDD

Inflows

Looking today at week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest inflow was seen in the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG), which added 9 million shares, or a 5.7% increase week over week.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest increase in inflows was the iShares MSCI Colombia Capped ETF (ICOL), which added 200,000 shares, for a whopping 40.0% increase in outstanding shares.

Outflows

Turning today to week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI USA Minimum Volatility ETF (USMV), which shed 18.8 million shares, or a 20.0% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of USMV, in morning trading today General Mills (GIS) is off about 0.7%, and Paychex (PAYX) is up by about 0.3%.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest outflow was the Proshares UltraShort SmallCap600 (SDD), which lost 150,000 of its shares, for a whopping 32.0% decline in outstanding shares.
