Following the excellent result for the year ended 30 June 2017, the Board of
Directors of Allied Farmers Ltd (NZX: ALF) has declared a fully imputed 0.2
cents per share giving a gross dividend of 0.278 cents per share.
The dividend will be paid on 19 January 2018 for shareholders on the register
at the record date being 15 December 2017. The Directors considered it
prudent to delay the declaration and payment of this dividend until later in
the current financial year, recognising that Spring is a period of higher
demand for working capital.
The Chairman, Garry Bluett, said "the Directors are pleased to reward
shareholders with a dividend. The 2017 Financial Year produced a very
positive result, which reflected the progress made in recent years to
strengthen the underlying business and its financial structure. Allied
continues to focus on the core livestock business and is now looking to
further grow the business".
