Bank Registration Answer Now Expected in December

Heartland New Zealand Limited (NZX:HNZ) (HNZ) advises that the outcome of
Heartland Building Society''s application for bank registration is now
expected to be known before Christmas, rather than by the AGM (to be held on
Friday, 30 November) as initially anticipated.
The application to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is complete, and
the formal determination process is well advanced with the RBNZ. HNZ is not
aware of any open issues in respect of the application, and knows of no
obstacles to a successful outcome.
